why am I doing this?

I believe that anything you have grown from scratch yourself should taste better than if you buy it from your local supermarket. Along with that you have the added advantage of knowing exactly what has (or hasn't) been sprayed on to it, and the harvest to table time is as short as it can possibly be.

Hopefully through this blog you will be able to learn from my mistakes and join in the celebration my successes (if there are any.) It is going to be a long hard slog to get my allotment up and running how I would like it, but I'm determined to not give up.
